My name is Ronald Bellanti, I founded this campaign to make a difference. To spare families of the horror that is drunk driving. Every day across this great nation, dozens of young people perish without reason. And as our country’s body count continues to rise one thing becomes clear.

The streets of Heaven are crowded with American Angels today.

Yesterday dozens of people were killed and injured in drunk driving accidents. And it was totally preventable. Our newspapers & television screens are constantly filled with terrible images of crashed cars and demolished lives. You can be assured that the victims and their families did not invite, seek out, or expect this bomb to blow up their lives.

Sometimes it all seems so very hopeless. So how do we simultaneously sustain hope and create change in this season of disrepair?

These victims are our sons and daughters, our classmates and friends. They are our families. Yet the true measure of a people’s strength is how they rise to overcome. And that sums up exactly what we are trying to do. To both overcome and defeat this deadly enemy. And while it may seem that we have reached our capability to rise up and meet these challenges, we need only pause and be reminded that this capacity may well be limitless.

This is a time for American faith.

We must achieve what is hard. We must achieve what is great.

This is a time for American resolve.

This is where the Ground Control Campaign comes in. By utilizing cutting edge technology, we force young people to confront the horror associated with drunk driving.

This is a time for American ingenuity.

The Ground Control Campaign is a first of its kind. Never before has Music and Art been used so directly to spread Drunk Driving Awareness. The campaign also breaks ground relative to the use of the internet and web based sites as the primary launch pad for our message. That no person needs ever to die in a drunk driving related accident.

This is a time for American heroes.

And we must reach for the stars. We must use both our hearts and our minds to create necessary change. We need to take every measure required. To summon what we must. To educate, to inoculate, and most importantly, to save lives.
